The GOM plays an uncoupling function because they prevent metal-metal contact in fixing systems or joining surfaces. It is composed by a viscoelastic rubber, favoring the resistance to the passage of the vibrations (mechanical impedance) because it works separating and isolating the contact between the two metallic bodies.
